Description:
Generations of Care staff, RN Care Managers and Personal Care Workers will provide our clients with hands on care and medically orientated activities related to assisting the client with Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s) necessary to maintain the client in his or her place of residence in the community. Quality Home Care Services provided to our clients include:
Assistance with bathing/showering
Assistance with getting in and out of bed
Assistance with eating
Assistance with teeth, mouth, denture, hair care, nail care and shaving
Assistance with mobility and ambulation including the use of wheelchair, walker, cane or crutches
Simple transfers including bed to chair or wheelchair
Changing the client’s bed, laundering the bed linens and the client’s personal clothing
Skin care excluding wound care
Care of eyeglasses and hearing aids
Assistance with dressing and undressing; T.E.D hose
Toileting and incontinence care including the use and care of bed pan, urinal, commode or toilet
Light cleaning in essential areas of the home used during personal services activities
Meal preparation, food purchasing and meal serving
Accompanying the client to obtain medical diagnosis and treatment
Medically orientated tasks (MOTs) are client specific tasks which may include medication assistance/reminders, diabetic management including blood glucose testing/monitoring, vital signs, catheter care, complex transfers, bowel program, ostomy care, seizure precautions, simple wound care, leg wraps and G-tube feeding
Promptly report any significant changes observed or reported in the client’s condition to the primary care physician
Clients can only be accepted if there is reasonable expectation that the client’s needs can be met by Generations of Care LLC. Upon acceptance, client shall promptly be provided with Personal Care Services with three business days. If Generations of Care LLC cannot render services to the client, we shall refer the client to another Personal Care Agency in the area or connect the client to the local Aging and Disability Resource Center for further assistance.
