Description:
Advises persons living in the county who served in the U.S. Armed Forces regarding any benefits to which they may be entitled or any complaint or problem arising out of such services and render to them and their dependents all possible assistance.
They advise clients regarding state and federal benefits and claim decisions by appropriate boards, agencies and courts; explain laws, regulations and codes that affect veterans, explain
veterans rights, responsibilities; and claim documentation. Researches applicable state and federal
laws, regulations, codes, court decisions to develop effective arguments for benefit claims. Counsels and advises clients regarding financial and educational assistance, medical services,
emergency shelter, vocational adjustment, mental health service and mortuary affairs.
