Service Description:
We are a state licensed Community Based Residential Facility or CBRF. We are licensed for 13 residents. We have been caring for needy individuals since 1979.
Our primary residents are mentally ill or AODA. Some residents are homeless, emotionally unstable, have behavior problems, etc.
Our ultimate goal is to help our residents reach the highest level of independence of which they are capable.
We provide supervision for their medications, bathing, meals, or dressing. We provide laundry services, transportation to health appointments, transportation to shopping and to beauty parlors. Leisure time activities are provided such as woodworking, pool tables, ping-pong tables, foosball, air hockey and darts in our spacious activity building. In the summer time we have outdoor picnics, volleyball, horseshoes, basketball, croquet, lawn darts, etc. Also provided in our activity building are various exercise machines and equipment for health and fitness. Residents also can follow a walking reoutine, either indoors or outdoors.
Our residents have daily glucose testing as required. Also weights and blood pressure monitoring are done weekly. We have outings on Friday evening at the local restaurants. We also include shopping, going to the library, or video store, etc.
Animal therapy is provided with the chickens, rabbits, steers, goats, and horses. Everyone has daily chores in addition to the responsibility of keeping their own area clean in their rooms.
Every one is encouraged to be friendly to the other residents, helpful and provide encouragement to each other.
