Description:
Medicare Part D, also called the Medicare Prescription Drug Benefit, is the medication coverage part of Medicare. Medicare beneficiaries purchase prescription drug plans from private insurance companies that have a contract with Medicare to provide this coverage. There are many different Part D plans available in Wisconsin, including stand-alone Prescription Drug Plans (PDPs) and Medicare Advantage plans with prescription drug coverage (MAPDs).
Disability Rights Wisconsin operates a statewide helpline, the Medicare Part D Disability Drug Benefit Helpline, to help people with disabilities and their families or guardians with Medicare Part D. You can reach the helpline at 1-800-926-4862.
