Description:
The Gathering Place is one of 10 peer-run recovery centers in the state, serving adults with lived experience of mental illness and co-occurring disorders. The Gathering Place is unique from other mental health services in Brown County as the center is managed and run 100% by people who have mental illnesses. We call ourselves "peers". Our recovery-oriented programs include: support groups, one-on-one sessions with Certified Peer Specialists, Life skills, expressive arts therapy, occupational therapy, spiritual groups, and recreational activities such as Packer tailgates & summer weekend cookouts. Our house provides all the space needed to include a computer lab with internet access, lending library, and wall of resources. We offer volunteer opportunities and recognition. Membership is free.
