Description:
Trempealeau County Department of Human Services has several functional units:
* The Behavioral Health Unit provides:
- Community based services to adults with mental health and/or substance
abuse.
- Coordinates crisis services,
commitments, inpatient or residential
services for individuals with mental
health and/or substance abuse
- Service Coordination for children
with disabilities
* The Economic Support Unit is operated in collaboration with other counties as part of the Western Region for Economic Assistance (WREA). Economic Support assists individuals applying for Medical Assistance, Food Share and Child Care Benefits.

- Foster Care Licencing
* Justice Services
The Justice Services Unit began operation in 2017 and consists of the Juvenile Justice Social Worker, Justice Coordinator, and Justice Assistance Coordinator. The unit Supervisor also maintains a juvenile justice caseload. Services provided through the Justice Services Unit include juvenile court intake and on-going services, Recovery Court, Adult Diversion program, Community Worker Services, and Small Claim mediation.
