Swing Bed Unit - Swing Bed is an alternative to a skilled nursing facility stay for post-hospital rehabilitation. Swing Bed services are unique to Critical Access Hospitals and are covered by Medicare and most insurance companies with a three day or longer hospitalization. Swing Bed allows patients a little extra time to regain strength after an illness, surgery or injury in a peaceful environment close to home.
