Description:
Head Start is a federally funded program, locally designed and implemented, providing quality early childhood education to children and families. The program is comprehensive and involves the family in the total development of the child. Parents are a child's first teacher and longest lasting influence; therefore, parent involvement is a vital part of the program.
Low income families with children ages 3 to 5 are encouraged to apply at anytime throughout the year. Children with special needs, regardless of their families' incomes, are also eligible. Two centers in Waushara County serve children and families from Almond, Coloma, Hancock, Plainfield, Wild Rose, Wautoma and Redgranite.
