Description:
Weatherization is the process of making a home energy-efficient. Each eligible home is assessed top to bottom and repair and insulation needs are determined. Labor and materials are then provided at no cost and no lien placed against the home. Weatherization may include: water heaters wrapped; caulking; weather stripping windows; doors; attic insulation; attic ventilation; boxsill insulation; furnace tune and cleaning. Weatherization services exclude: siding, roofing, hot water heater replacement, solar energy conversion devices, or storm doors and windows.
Interested persons must first be found eligible for the county's Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). Appointments for LIEAP can be made by calling 920-787-3338.
