Description:
For about 1 in 10 people in south-western Wisconsin that next meal isn’t always there. That means 9 in 10 of us probably don’t know what it’s like to have to water down our food just to make it stretch another day. Or to skip eating dinner so your kids can have enough to eat. That’s real hunger!
Since 1986 Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin has put more than 100 million meals on the tables of the 1 in 10 who are facing hunger in southwestern Wisconsin. A few things to know about us:
We work together with hundreds of local hunger-relief charities to provide the peace-of-mind people get when they know they have enough food
We are dedicated to providing healthy and nutritious food to those we serve. One of the ways we can be there for you is through our mobile pantries. We send trucks into areas that need a little more help than other traditional pantries, meal sites and shelters are able to provide.
We are a member of Feeding America, a nationwide network of member food banks and the nation's largest domestic hunger-relief organization.
