Description:
Memory Cafe - Tosa Bowl and Bun
Memory Cafés are places where persons with MCI (Mild Cognitive Impairment) early-stage Alzheimer's or a related dementia can go with their care partners to socialize and have fun with other people going through similar things.
Memory Café has no real agenda or stated purpose except to enjoy each other's company. Cafés provide a time where you do not need to focus on the diagnosis, while having a great time connecting with each other as a family or creating new friendships. A social engagement opportunity presented by the Alzheimer's Association.
WHO: Individuals with early to moderate Alzheimer's and their care partners as well as those who worry about memory problems.
WHEN: 2nd Tuesday of every month
WHERE: Tosa Bowl and Bun, 7212 W North Ave, Wauwatosa, WI
TIME: 4:00 - 5:30 PM
WHY: Being active physically, socially and mentally is good for the brain! And we all understand: "We're all in the same boat!"
