Description:
Senior centers provide older adults with an opportunity to socialize with others, participate in recreational activities, and learn new ideas through educational programming. There is no membership fee to belong to the center.
Programs are diverse and may include line-dancing, woodworking, arts and crafts, stamp collecting, camera club, bible study, billiards, English as a second language classes, exercise classes, computer classes, travel clubs, cards, lapidary, sewing, etc. Assists seniors in enrolling in prescription drug assistance programs. Must be 55 year old or older to participate in the Senior Center. Most activities on site are free. Nominal fees may be assessed for off-site programs.
