Description:
The Adult Day Center provides programs designed to meet the needs of the functionally impaired and persons with cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer's and other dementia related diseases. Target population is Hispanic, near south side residents and impaired adults with special needs. The program is structured and comprehensive, providing a variety of activities and support services in a protective setting during daytime hours. The program includes: meals; transportation to and from the Center; individual and group activities, special events and outings; medical, health and social services (including bathing); devotionals and spiritual activities; and cultural activities including arts and crafts, music and dance, art therapy, intergenerational groups, individual assessment and plan of care.
