UW Vision Rehabilitation Service provides practical techniques and useful tools to help you remain as independent as possible. They teach techniques for maximizing your remaining vision, assist with low vision aids, and can refer you to other resources in the community.
Vision rehabilitation cannot restore lost or damaged vision. Low vision specialist will help determine which low vision aids will be most useful to you and teach you how to use them.
Charges range from $50-$150 depending upon the number of visits. Medicare cannot currently be billed for these charges. Financial assistance is available through the WI Council of the Blind and Visually Impaired.
