The first visit will take approximately one hour. The visit will include:
Thorough review of your nutritional health.
Personalized nutrition plan.
Together with your registered dietitian nutritionist, you will set nutrition and lifestyle goals to help you improve your health. After your first visit, your RDN will work with you to schedule follow-up visits as needed, to check on your progress and help you reach your nutritional goals.
What is a registered dietitian nutritionist?
Registered dietitian nutritionists are food and nutrition experts who translate the science of nutrition into practical solutions for healthy living. They are trained in the use of nutrition to prevent and control disease. Look for the initials RD or RDN after your nutritionist’s name. These credentials indicate that the practitioner has completed an accredited four-year educational program and 1,200 hours of supervised practice, and passed a national exam. It also means they stay up-to-date by completing continuing professional education requirements.
