St. Ann Center is an intergenerational day care center that is open from 7 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday. The term “intergenerational” implies care for individuals of all ages, of every generation. The Center offers day services for children, adults with disabilities, older adults, persons with dementia/Alzheimer's. In addition, St. Ann's offers a variety of services to the general public. St. Ann Center's state-certified day center services for adults include socialization, art and music therapy, spiritual counseling, planned activities including field trips, meals and snacks with special diets. Full time medical treatments and medicine distributed by full-time on-site nurse. Free therapy assessment to determine physical, occupational, and speech therapy needs. An indoor park and outdoor garden available. On-site washing machine and dryer. Whirlpool bathing is available for adults including those who do not participate in the day center. For persons with Alzheimer's disease and dementia, our Shepherd House unit provides day services (7 am to 5 pm) in a secure, home-like setting. Respite care provides temporary relief for caregivers from the continuous responsibility of caring for an individual with special needs. The new 9-bed overnight respite center is staffed 24 hour a day by experienced, professional and trained caregivers. It has private, single bed guest rooms; housekeeping and bed linen daily services; three hot, healthy meals a day and snacks; personal care assistance; medication management & medical needs supervision including blood pressure checks and blood sugar testing by a registered nurse; activities; and religious services, if desired. Additional services are available. Respite stays should be pre-arranged. Respite funding may be available through the Family Caregiver Support Network. The general public can take advantage of the heated swimming pool and hot tub spa, beauty salon, Cafe and Gift Shop, special events and much more. Fees apply.
