Description:
The Skill Bank program serves adults over age 55 in Racine County and helps them remain living independently in their homes for as long as possible. The program is administered through The Volunteer Center of Racine. Services include housekeeping, home repair, plumbing, painting, transportation, laundry, snow removal, lawn work and more. Skill Bank helpers are primarily retired tradespeople over 55 who have talents they are willing to share at senior friendly prices. All Skill Bank helpers pass a background check to assure the safety of our senior clients. The cost for services is negotiated between the Skill Bank helper and each client. Services must be set up through the Skill Bank office.

Transportation: Ambulatory only, Drivers provide transportation in their own vehicle, Extent of services depends upon availability of drivers and their vehicle. Reasonable fees agreed upon between driver and those receiving service. Arrangements are mad through the skill bank.
